Formula E Meets French Riviera
Precisely one year from now the new FIA Formula E Championship will descend upon one of the most recognizable motorsports venues in the world – picturesque Monte Carlo. One of the best-known and most glamorous resorts on the French Riviera meets the world’s most innovative new motorsports series. The dazzling city will have an added sparkle when the fully-electric Spark-Renault SRT_01Es come rolling into town – one that is bound to turn heads.
The Principality of Monaco features what is widely considered to be one of the principal and most prestigious motorsports races in the world – the Formula One Monaco Grand PrixTM. Monte Carlo plays host to most of the Circuit de Monaco –the demanding Monaco GP street circuit. What better place for Formula E to arrive on the continent where Formula racing was born, than at one of motorsports oldest venues?
The narrow streets, elevation changes and tight corners of Monte Carlo are sure to mean exciting race action for Formula E’s eighth round. Formula E Test Driver Ho-Pin Tung says “you can brake really late” with the Spark-Renault SRT_01E, so the drivers will be pushing the envelope on the demanding track. It will be their ultimate test to date.
