Five Favorite DHL Fashion Moments: 2015

It was a big year for the fashion experts at DHL as we inaugurated our first ever DHL Exported program supporting four fabulous fashion labels as they made waves in new waters. Here's what else got our fashion editors talking ...

2015 got off to a rousing start with runway shows taking over Berlin before the fashion industry made their way to New York to kick off the Big Four in February. A lot happened in the fashion world this last year – from Fashion Week New York's relocation from Midtown Manhattan to the call-for-applications announcement that the DHL Exported Program would go in for another round. Here's our editors' top five favorite moments looking back:

1. Seeing the four design teams selected for the DHL Exported Program really come into their own during their second rounds of shows. Francesca Liberatore rocked New York with her wide-legged womenswear while Nicholas K wowed the runways of Milan with theirs. House of Holland hit both London Fashion Week and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo hard with his colorful patterned streetwear. H by Hakan, the brainchild of Hakaan Yildirim grabbed loads of attention in London before the designer headed back to his hometown to sit front row at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul, proving his influence in his hometown is still strong.

2. The great #DHLDesigns uploaded as part of the Global Trade Improves Lives show sponsored by DHL India at Lakme Fashion Week in March.

3. Witnessing the continued success of DHL Japan and DHL Australia's awesome local programs aimed at helping designers in their countries get a leg up abroad. Be on the lookout next year to see more from the 2015 winners: Mitsuru Nishizaki of Japan and By Johnny of Australia.

4. Telling the four designers with winning applications for the DHL Exported Program Cycle Two the big news. Marcel Ostertag, Anne Sofie Madsen, Sid Neigum and Nakajima Atsushi are all thrilled to be taking their collections abroad in 2016 with the assistance of DHL and IMG Fashion. Their excitement is contagious!

5. Finding out Anne Sofie Madsen, whose work DHL Denmark has supported from the start including at Paris Fashion Week in 2015, will be heading to Tokyo thanks to the DHL Exported Program.

Thanks for a fabulous 2015! Looking forward to sharing more great fashion moments with you next year so if you haven't already, follow us on our social media channels to keep up with the latest: FacebookInstagramPinterest, You Tube and Twitter.
