DHL Exported Heroes: Francesca Liberatore
Having already made a name for herself in her native Italy, talented designer Francesca Liberatore set her sights on New York in 2014. Knowing that the American market was tough to crack, though essential for expanding her brand, Liberatore threw her hat in the ring for the inaugural DHL Exported Program competition, which selected four brands already established at home for assistance in branching out abroad.
Showing her eponymous line at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York for two seasons, thanks to the DHL Exported program, Francesca Liberatore drew a lot of attention that she may not have otherwise gotten at one of the world's largest and most important Fashion Week events of the year. She likewise drew a lot of inspiration from the city that never sleeps for her Autumn/Winter 2015 collection -- a line that she says tries to bring out the supergirl in the every day woman.
