2014/2015 Race Calendar
Mark your calendars! Formula E premieres in LA on February 14

At this time next year, the new FIA Formula E Championship will be heating up the streets of one of North America’s hottest cities – Los Angeles.

One visit to this global city and its allure is unmistakable. The country’s second-most populous metropolis enjoys year-round sunshine and sports a sophistication and style that only an entertainment mecca can deliver. From A-list celebrities to beach Bohemians, the city boasts one of the most eclectic populations in America. Often billed as the “Creative Capital of the World,” some say there are more artists, writers, filmmakers, actors and musicians living and working in Los Angeles than any other city at any time in the history of civilization.

On February 14, 2015, downtown LA will be heating up like a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert.

Add some of the most beautiful beaches in North America and the “City of Angels” really does have something for everybody.

On February 14, 2015, downtown LA will be heating up like the red-hot carpet at a world premiere or, for that matter, a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert – and it won’t be from Anthony Kiedis’ endless on-stage energy or the excitement of seeing your favorite star. No, the celebrity spotlight will be shining on the FIA Formula E Championship and 20 “Spark-Renault SRT_01E” fully electric race cars and drivers. By the time Formula E premieres in LA, the credits will have already rolled for the first five races and the drivers will be walking the red carpet like seasoned superstars.

Round 6 of the sport’s inaugural 10-race 2014/15 season, which begins on September 13 in Beijing, China, is sure to excite crowds on LA’s wide, palm-tree-lined boulevards. Unlike most other sporting events, the series will be contested entirely on the streets of some of the world’s most prized cities, including Hong Kong, Rio de Janeiro and London.

It’s a revolutionary new motorsport – a green race series that is decidedly blue with an innovative vision for the future of e-mobility.
