The race for the DHL Fastest Lap award is becoming a Red Bull showdown.

The race for the DHL Fastest Lap award is becoming a Red Bull showdown. Mark Webber puts in a fastest lap for the third time this season, drawing level with teammate Sebastian Vettel. We are certainly looking forward to an exciting team duel.

After 10 races, titleholder Vettel is still leading the Drivers’ championship with 172 points. Räikkönen squeezes by Alonso, sitting now one point ahead in P2. And after his first victory of this season, Hamilton is lurking in peak form.

In the Constructors’ standings, Red Bull continues to expand its massive lead, sitting at 277 to Mercedes’ 208 points. A silver arrow has now visited the winners’ podium seven times this season. Ferrari appears to be faltering and while Lotus is gaining ground.

17th career Fastest Lap

Webber’s fastest lap was the 17th of his career, which ties Rubens Barrichello and puts him only one behind teammate Vettel. As the Aussie sets to retire at the end of this 2013 Formula One season, he is certainly leaving a fastest lap legacy.
