41 Young Leaders from Berlin and Kiel will join forces in Berlin's Columbia Theater to share ideas and views for a more sustainable and better environment.
Split into nine groups, the boys and girls will investigate and explore different options for energy, mobility and consumption in order to promote a more sustainable environment.
Matters up for discussion include, how might batteries from EV vehicles be used once their capacity is no longer sufficient for mobility and how might we change the way we use energy in the buildings we spend most of our days in?
We too are committed to sustainability and a better environment. In 2017, under its "Mission 2050" strategy, Deutsche Post DHL Group set itself the goal of reducing logistics-related emissions to zero by 2050.
At Explorer Camp | Climate Edition, the Young Leaders can work with forward thinking entrepreneurs, climate experts and project partners to give substance to their vision of climate-friendly solutions.
Ex-Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg, who is also a co-founder of the GREENTECH FESTIVAL, came along as one of the invited guests for the start of the three-day challenge on Friday.
"Sustainability is now an exciting, trendy topic. It encompasses so many different areas, and I just love to see all the things that are happening. I enjoyed great success as a racing driver, I now want to be successful as an entrepreneur and am looking forward to seeing what you come up with as concepts for a better environment. I think it's great to see your passion. The future belongs to you," said Rosberg while addressing the Young Leaders at Explorer Camp | Climate Edition.
On Saturday, participants will take time out to visit the Berlin E-Prix being held nearby on the site of the former Tempelhof Airport. At DHL's stand in the E-Village, the Young Leaders can inspect a number of interesting innovations, including the StreetScooter, for which DHL has been nominated for a GREEN AWARD at the GREENTECH FESTIVAL in the category "Game Changer of the Year".
