DHL Exported Finalists Announced
Finalists for the first annual DHL Exported program aimed at bringing a designer already big in his or her home market to the international playing field were announced on April 30th in a Google+ Hangout.
Members of the expert committees in New York, London, Tokyo and Milan were excited to share their city's top choices taken from an applicant pool of 150 designers in 36 countries.
From New York, Alexis Bryan Morgan, Executive Fashion Director of Lucky Magazine introduced the three finalists:
Francesca Liberatore, London and Milan
Yasutoshi Ezumi of Japan
Katty Xiomara, Portugal
Narmin Mohammadi, Head of Showcasing, British Fashion Council announced the finalists for London:
Hakan Yıldırım, Turkey
Lala Berlin, Germany
Sid Neigum, based in Toronto, Canada
Speaking from Milan was Jane Reeve, CEO, Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italiana, introducing:
Pyer Moss of New York
Nicholas K, a brother-sister team from the US
Tokyo representative Akiko Shinoda, Director of International Affairs, Japan Fashion Week Organization explained the choices for Japan:
House of Holland based in London
Sibling International from London
Todd Lynn, Canada and England
