Save the Date: Google+ Hangout April 30
With more than 150 applications from 37 countries, the DHL Exported program helping an established designer go global with support from DHL has already proven itself an international success.
The expert committees in Milan, London, New York and Tokyo have been hard at work sorting through the applications to narrow the field in each city to juts a handful of finalists. It's not an easy task – there are many strong contenders for the prize, which includes a runway show in the next season's Fashion Week event come September or October. And the diversity is remarkable, with fashion names already big in their home markets of Estonia, Venezuela, Denmark, Turkey, Uganda and many others further afield, all vying for their big international break.
The finalists will be selected in the coming days and announced on April 30th in a unique social media event on Google+. A global event, the #DHLExported #Hangout is set for 9:00 New York / 14:00 London / 15:00 Milan / 22:00 Tokyo on Wednesday and will feature members of each expert committee discussing their selections.
Got a question for the committee members? You can tweet them using the hashtags #DHLExported and #Hangout through the start of the show, which you can take part in on Google+ or right here on In Motion live.
