DHL Exported Cycle 2 Winners

Announcing DHL Exported Program's Cycle Two Winners

IMG and DHL announced the four winning designers of the second consecutive DHL Exported Program in New York today at a special event during NYFW: The Shows. Though the decision was difficult for our committee of experts, they were able to narrow the field to nearly a dozen last week, with some of the world's top designers contending for the year of support in both marketing and logistics thanks to DHL. In the end, four womenswear labels with strong business plans combined with extraordinary creative talent and ideas were chosen. They include:

Marcel Ostertag, who focuses on sustainability when producing his “Made in Germany” collections, an ideal designer to enter the North American market via New York Fashion Week.

Sid Neigum, a Canadian designer whose seen great success in Toronto and been featured in Women's Wear Daily as well as Vogue Italia will show at London Fashion Week while planning expansion into the UK market, chosen specifically for its forward-looking tech fashion.

Atsushi Nakashima designed for Jil Sander and John Paul Gautier before launching his own label in his native Japan, where he received the third DHL Designer Award there several years ago after showing at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo. Now, with a refined line and strong plans for entering the luxury goods market, he'll take his collection, including accessories, to Milan Fashion Week.

Anne Sofie Madsen, who's made a big name for herself in her native Denmark and has been showing at Paris Fashion Week the last few seasons, will bring her delightfully artsy womenswear to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo.

The Cycle Two DHL Exported shows will take place in September 2016/February 2017 at New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week, as well as in October 2016/March 2017 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo.
