Moments that Move us: Manchester United Win an Inspiration!

The boys from Old Trafford put on a fine display against Norwich City last weekend, clipping the Canaries’ wings in a 4-0 victory. The emphatic win was a moving moment after a tough week – an inspiration to us all.

Both Manchester United and DHL know a thing or two about adversity. The two organizations grew from humble beginnings, building international powerhouses on their road from good to great. Both have been through and survived tough times. The winningest club in English Premier League history has never given up, nor has DHL’s support for its partner.

This past weekend was yet another example of United’s resolve and determination to remain one of the world’s top football teams. Inspired by interim boss and teammate Ryan Giggs, the team put in a fine afternoon’s work to bring home the win. And it was an important one.

“We knew it was going to be a tough game because Norwich are fighting for their survival,” said Wayne Rooney after the match. “We’ve had a tough week. […] We know we are better than we’ve shown [this season]. We showed that we are a good team and it’s important for us now to end the season well. That’s what we intend to do.”

For his part, Giggs stepped confidently into his new role as interim manager, making tough decisions both before and after the match. It was hard, he admitted. “I didn’t sleep last night. Leaving the likes of Juan Mata out of the starting 11 was a difficult decision, it was a position I’ve never been before. I’m interim manager, but also one of their teammates, so leaving them out was tough,” said Giggs.

But like the United legend he is, Giggs rose to the challenge and orchestrated an impressive victory.
