The final leg of the 2014 United Trophy Tour, Delivered by DHL, has begun. What better way to enter Europe then through the busy streets of the great city of Istanbul, the transcontinental metropolis straddling the Bosphorus.

Click here to watch the Irwin take the Barclays Premier League trophy through the Istanbul’s most historic sites and meet enthusiastic fans from near and far along the way.

The United Trophy Tour’s entry into Europe was truly moving. As legendary Reds full-back Denis Irwin walked the narrow, bustling aisles of the Grand Bazaar – one the largest and oldest covered markets in the world – or stood outside historic Dolmabahçe Palace, he was greeted with welcoming smiles and much enthusiasm. And naturally a market worker wanted to barter: his fez –or felt hat – in return for the trophy!

Have a look at the photo gallery above or watch the video to see Irwin sporting the fez.

Once again fans came from near and far to meet a United legend and see the treasured trophy. Anastassiya travelled over six hours from Kazakhstan to be there! This lifelong fan also met Irwin at Dolmabahçe Palace – watch the video or look through the photo gallery to see this lovely United supporter!
