European nights have a legendary reputation at the Theatre of Dreams, with their color, noise and almost tangible emotions creating an environment that can drive the Reds to victory and live forever in the memories of the participants, from the players on the pitch to the supporters in the stands.

Premier League win boosts confidence
Wayne Rooney scored two key goals in United’s win over Aston Villa on Saturday – providing a boost confidence as the Reds prepare to meet Germany’s powerhouse Bayern Munich in their first-leg UEFA Champions League quarter-final match on April 1.

With a total now of 171 Premier League goals, Wayne Rooney has overtaken Frank Lampard to go fourth in the all-time scorers list.

Juan Mata hit his first goal since joining United as the Reds came from behind to beat Aston Villa 4-1.

After the much-needed Premiere League win, Rooney is now looking forward to United's European clash with Bayern Munich: "It's a massive game, it's the quarter-finals of the Champions League. We're excited, we're looking forward to it. Hopefully we'll get a good result."

The team is in a bullish mood coming off their weekend win. "We don't see ourselves as underdogs," says veteran Ryan Gigs. "We see ourselves as Manchester United playing at home in the Champions League, so we're looking forward to it."
