Logistics

As the Official Logistics Partner of Formula 1®, DHL will deliver more than ever in 2026 – with an 11th team joining the grid and a total of 24 races. Carrying everything from the media centre to the safety cars, the DHL team will navigate two triple headers and six double headers in a revised regionalized F1® race calendar.

Starting in Australia, we will take a deep dive into historic logistics stories, exploring how DHL has supported Formula 1® in delivering the Grand Prix™ in Melbourne for 30 years. As the season goes on, we’ll head behind-the-scenes with our ambassador, Billy Monger, and meet some familiar faces in our DHL Motorsports team.

DHL x F1® logistics explained

Go behind the scenes and discover the Race Behind The Race. See how DHL moves over 1,200 tons of Formula 1® equipment across five continents and 24 races with precision and sustainability. More than logistics, it’s the team delivering the world’s fastest sport, season after season.

Before the lights go out

As Official Logistics Partner of Formula 1®, we teamed up with Billy Monger to spotlight DHL’s critical behind-the-scenes role in setting up a Grand Prix™. From delivering key equipment to building and testing race infrastructure, DHL ensures everything is ready for a seamless race start.

The new DHL motorhome

In 2025, DHL launched a new two-story motorhome for the European leg of the F1® season, designed to support our dedicated logistics team and the Race Behind The Race. With Spanish F1® expert and presenter Albert Fàbrega, we explored how the Paddock comes together, and how the DHL Motorhome powers the action.

Delivering to Monaco

The FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAND PRIX DE MONACO 2025 is the biggest logistical challenge over the F1® season for the DHL Motorsports team. Manoeuvring freight to the second smallest country in the world is no mean feat. With tight, windy roads, it takes an expert logistics team to ensure the race behind the race is delivered precisely and on time.

F1® safety car, delivered

In 2024, at the US Grand Prix™, DHL ambassador Naomi Schiff and the DHL team packed up the FIA Formula 1® safety car to be transported to its next destination, Mexico City.

20 years of delivering F1®

In celebration of our 20th Anniversary as the Official Logistics Partner of F1® in 2024, we took a look at DHL’s most exhilarating moments, spanning multiple continents and through major world events, over the last 22 F1 seasons.

Sustainability

As leaders in sustainable logistics, together with F1®, we will continue to strive towards a more sustainable future and further bring to life the sport’s Net Zero Carbon by 2030 commitment.

This season, we will continue exploring the steps DHL is taking to make the sport more sustainable including our biofueled truck fleet and developments in Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF).

The rise of SAF

In recent years, Formula 1® has increased its use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) as part of its ultra-efficient logistics strategy. Investments achieving an estimated 80% lifecycle reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, via the book and claim mechanism for air freight operations. In 2025, DHL contributed to Formula 1 saving an estimated 20,000tCO₂e across their freight charter flights, doubling from the 2024 season.

Biofuel truck expansion

In 2023, DHL have introduced their fleet of biofueled trucks and constantly increased their numbers to a total of 52 beginning 2026. Our fleet of second generation HVO100 filled trucks reduces carbon emissions, averaging a reduction of 83% compared to fuel-driven trucks, all whilst transporting F1® across Europe and driving forward the race to achieving the Formula 1® Net Zero Carbon by 2030 commitment.

Fish & chip fuel

DHL Ambassador Billy Monger explored how the surplus oil and waste products from your favourite takeaway meals can be transformed into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). We’re proud supporting Formula 1® by fuelling their cargo flights with SAF, reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions by estimated 80% per flight, compared to conventional aviation fuel!

Introducing the biofuel fleet

As part of our race to a more sustainable future, in 2023 we called into the pit, making one key change to our European trucks …biofuel! Our fleet achieving in average 83% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to their diesel-powered counterparts. Over years we increased the deployment of biofuel powered trucks, with the fleet now totaling 52 vehicles supporting the delivery of the Championship across Formula 1 Management, F1 Teams, the FIA and suppliers.

Belonging

Formula 1® is more than just a sport; it’s a shared journey and community. No matter where you are from, what you believe, or how you watch, it’s a sport striving to ensure that everyone is welcome.

At DHL, we believe in the power of belonging and, that’s why, away from the racetrack, we are working to make sure the world of logistics and motorsports is a more inclusive place to be. Along our journey this season, we will highlight unique stories of inclusion, connection, resilience and a shared passion for racing.

Racing against dementia

Additionally, we have organised the delivery of the World Champions’ helmet, enabling it to be signed by the greatest Formula 1® drivers around the globe.
