DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award: 2015 FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA PIRELLI

Ferrari continue to make headway: In the 2015 FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA PIRELLI, Sebastian Vettel finished on the podium for the fourth time this season, while the Ferrari pit crew achieved the fastest pit stop of the race for the fourth consecutive time in the DHL Pit Stop Award.

The Scuderia turned around Sebastian Vettel in just 2.22 seconds, achieving the fastest pit stop time for any driver in the race. His second stop of 2.33 seconds spent stationary was super quick too – that would also have been good enough to count as the fastest of the race. The Ferrari pit crew highlighted their strong speed and perfect teamwork with Kimi Räikkönen’s third fastest stop, setting a time of 2.31 seconds.

The statistics below show just how high the standard is in the battle to win the DHL Pit Stop Award. During the fifth race of the season in Barcelona, the teams completed 18 pit stops under the magic three-second mark, a superb performance by the mechanics.

After five races, Ferrari comfortably lead the DHL Pit Stop Award with four fastest pit stops. Only at the season opener in Australia did the Force India pit crew manage to beat the Scuderia in this discipline. Teams will get their next chance to go head-to-head at the legendary 2015 Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco to be staged on the streets of the Principality from May 21st to 24th.
