Pushing everyday cars with everyday engines to their absolute limits, the FIA World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) is one of the fastest growing and most spectacular motorsport series in the world. It might look like a standard car, but these vehicles deliver something unique to every race. Drivers compete on both street tracks and specially designed circuits, including some of the world’s most iconic venues such as Macau, Nürburgring Nordschleife, Suzuka, and Vila Real.
The WTCR is a year-round job for DHL. Our dedicated motorsports logistics team works closely with WTCR throughout the year to plan the logistics for the tightly packed racing calendar in the most challenging environments. Not only do we transport the race cars with equipment and spare parts, 4,000 litres of fuel and 620 tires to each WTCR race, we also utilize the most efficient modes of transport, relying heavily on ocean freight for events outside Europe. We also handle garage and paddock equipment, freight storage, customs clearance, and express shipments for FIA WTCR management. No matter what emergencies may arise, we’re ready to respond promptly and support by arranging flights and transportation.
