UNITED:LIVE JAKARTA
Get ready, Indonesia! UNITED:LIVE is coming to you on Saturday!
Reds fans in Jakarta are about to take part in the ultimate Manchester United experience on their home soil – UNITED:LIVE. And they have a lot to be excited about. UNITED:LIVE in Bangkok on December 13-14 was a huge hit, with fans getting the chance to get up close and personal with the club they love thanks to a weekend full of United activities. If the Jakarta party is even half as good as the one the club hosted in 2012 or the most recent UNITED:LIVE event in Bangkok, then fans are in for an epic festival.
“The fans here can’t wait.” (United Army President, Arie Best)
Bangkok
As you can see from this video, Reds fans in Bangkok were treated to an awesome day in December that included meeting United legends, learning skills from Soccer Schools coaches, taking part in family-friendly activities in the fan zones and listening to live music by some great bands. The Festival of Football climaxed when thousands of supporters gathered to watch Louis van Gaal's side take on Liverpool on a giant screen – the atmosphere was just like being inside Old Trafford!
United Army is ready
For Indonesia’s biggest fan club – United Army – Saturday cannot come soon enough. “The fans here can’t wait,” says club president, Arie Best.
With some 25,000 members and over 100,000 followers on Twitter, the word is out and Manchester United is expecting thousands of fans. “The attendance of two ex-players (Denis Irwin and Louis Saha) will make everyone here happy,” adds Best. “We could have several thousand fans at the event.”
We don’t doubt it. Who would want to miss watching the boys of Old Trafford live on the big screen with two legends of the game and surrounded by thousands of enthusiastic fans?
Irwin and Saha ready too
Manchester United legend Denis Irwin – one of the modern Reds greats – will be in Jakarta to party with the Indonesian fan base and he’s excited about it. “I know how passionate the fans are in Indonesia – they’re mad for Manchester United. So I‘m really looking forward to meeting up with them.”

for Manchester United." (Denis Irwin)
Former United Striker Louis Saha is also “looking forward to having fun” with fans in Jakarta. “These fans are far from Manchester but are passionate about football and proud to be linked with United. It is nice to see the club is taking time to give back some kind of reward for that passion.”
We couldn’t agree more, Louis. DHL is proud to be associated with this event and to help United deliver #LegendaryMoments to fans around the world.
