Get Primed for the 2014 DHL Fastest Lap!

A new season, new rules, a new era. Here's a look at the 2014 DHL Fastest Lap Award. Watch the video above to see Vettel, Rosberg, Button, and others talk about driving the perfect lap.

It’s a perfect moment. Everything comes together. The right line, the right speed, the right breaking point at the apex. It’s a moving moment that’s just awesome to watch. DHL has been shining the spotlight on the fastest lap since 2007 because it’s a perfect reflection of our company values: speed, reliability teamwork.

"The Fastest Lap is spectacular - it's tunnel vision, on the limit, everything is perfect, and it's a great feeling," says Mercedes AMG Petronas driver Nico Rosberg.

“Well, you know, it’s not as if you get any points for it, so in one way it’s actually a bit of a game,” says three-time DHL Fastest Lap Award Winner Sebastian Vettel. “But at the end of the race I simply enjoy doing a faster lap.”

On any given Sunday and at any of this year’s 19 Formula 1 circuits, any driver can set the fastest lap in a race. “And that is the exciting thing about the DHL Fastest Lap Award for me,” says DHL’s F1 Expert and former F1 driver Christian Danner.

Stay tuned to DHL’s YouTube channel this season as we take you trackside and inside the pit lane with Christian Danner.

"The Fastest Lap is spectacular - it's tunnel vision, on the limit, everything is perfect, and it's a great feeling," says Mercedes AMG Petronas driver Nico Rosberg.

“Before it’s time to go home it’s simply nice to do a fast lap and at the end of the year there is a lovely trophy for it,” says Vettel.
