NYFW: The Shows AW2016 Kicks Off
New York is where the tastemakers of the world will be convening this week as New York Fashion Week: The Shows kick off on Thursday. With dozens of shows on the official calendar, it can be hard to choose just who to keep an eye on. We here at DHL have a few favorites to have a look out for: the winners of our DHL Exported Program.
New this year to the schedule in New York is Marcel Ostertag, thanks to his winning application for DHL Exported. Based in Berlin, with a studio in Munich, the womenswear designer oversees production of his line in Germany and will be bringing his gorgeous evening and everyday wear to The Gallery at NYFW: The Shows on Thursday, Feb 11 at 7 p.m.
His show follows on the opening by one of our beloved alum, Nicholas K, whose adventurous luxury line kicks off the week with a 9 a.m. showing at The Dock. We saw the sibling design duo to success in Milan last year and are thrilled to see what they've got in store for Autumn/Winter 2016.
And last year's winner of the DHL Exported Program for New York, Milanese designer Francesca Liberatore, is set to return to the runways of New York, with a show at 7 Friday, Feb 12 at The Dock.
