H by Hakaan Yildirim at London Fashion Week
Already a big name in his native Turkey, with a boutique in Istanbul's prestigious Galata district, Hakaan Yildirim has had big plans to bring his designs to retailers across Europe.
That's why the showing of his Spring/Summer 2015 H by Hakaan line at London Fashion Week on September 16th is so vital for the award-winning designer. Showing in the British Fashion Council Courtyard Show Space at 5 p.m. GMT, Yildirim is sure to turn heads with his tailored womenswear.
The show is the first appearance of the collection on the London Fashion Week runway as part of the DHL Exported program. Honoring four designers for their unique design ideas and stellar business plans, the program is aimed at helping the designers gain ground in an overseas market by supporting them at Fashion Week events for two consecutive seasons. Yildirim was the recipient of the inaugural award for London, handed out in May.
“I definitely relate to Hakan's signature style; ... for evening events they definitely appeal to my sense of style,” said Kitty McGee, Executive Fashion Editor, Stylist magazine and one of the DHL Exported judges.
To get an inside look at that style and follow Hakaan as he finishes preparations for his show, check out the DHL Exported social media channels on Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook and You Tube.
