DHL Exported Presents Sid Neigum at London Fashion Week

Canadian designer Sid Neigum makes his big debut in London this season thanks to the support of DHL Exported.

London Fashion Week got started on a serious note Friday as buyers arrived from a frigid New York and got straight down to business. The Autumn/Winter 2016 collection showings seem to be making history as much for their unique looks as for the designers' shifting approach to the business.

One designer standing out on the crowded five-day show schedule in London is Sid Neigum, a Canadian designer who's continually drawn crowds at Toronto Fashion Week and whose eponymous womenswear label has experienced unprecidented growth and garnered him numerous awards since its inception in 2011.

A presentation showing on Sunday, February 21 will let the public get up and close and personal with his very unique designs, which employ unusual materials to create conceptual womenswear based on mathemical principles. Neigum, who studied at New York's Fashion Institute has repeatedly turned out stunning collections that have been rewarded by the Toronto Fashion Incubator New Labels award, the Swarovski award for emerging talend and now via the DHL Exported program. The program, in its second year, is a cooperation with IMG fashion and DHL that aims to help talented designers with strong expansion potential to get their feet on the ground in a new market.

London was the best option for Neigum, who was selected to participate in the British Fashion Council's Next in Line exhibition in 2015. The experimentation and innovation he displays while creating his line in his Toronto studio leads to garments that will be a huge hit in the British capital.
