Race behind the race
Following the summer break, Formula 1 returns with the Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Zandvoort. This race marks the start of the second half of the championship, bringing the paddock back to the North Sea coast for one of the most atmospheric weekends of the season.
The 2026 Dutch Grand Prix will be especially significant because it will be the last Formula 1 race at Zandvoort. Since returning to the calendar in 2021 after a 36-year absence, the event has become known for its orange grandstands, beachside setting, and intense home support for Max Verstappen. For its final edition, Zandvoort will host its first-ever F1 Sprint, adding competitive pressure throughout the weekend.
From a logistics perspective, the Dutch Grand Prix restarts the European run after the summer shutdown. DHL’s biofuel-powered truck fleet will transport the cars, equipment, and infrastructure between European venues, supporting Formula 1's and DHL's shared goal of reaching net zero by 2030. After Zandvoort, the championship moves on to Monza for the Italian Grand Prix, followed by Madrid's inaugural appearance on the Formula 1 calendar.
