"Cookies" are small files that enable us to store information related to your device and you, the user, specifically, while you visit one of our websites. Cookies help us to determine how frequently our internet pages are accessed as well as the number of users. And they help us configure our offers so that they are as convenient and efficient as possible for you.

On the basis of Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR, we are using "session cookies" in order to optimize our website and to guarantee and convenient and undisturbed user experience. When you use the contact form on the Growth Delivered page ("Talk to a specialist"), we process the data you enter: first name, last name, business email address, company name, job title, level of seniority and the industry sector you select. We also record the date and time of your request and, if you tick the respective box, your consent to receive emails.

Answering your request
We use your data to answer your request and to connect you with a logistics specialist for the sector you selected. For this purpose we forward your data to the DHL Group company responsible for that sector. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, as the processing is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.

Emails from our business units
If you tick the separate checkbox, the DHL Group company responsible for your sector will send you emails about its logistics solutions, industry insights, events and offers. For this purpose we forward your contact data to that company. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

Your consent is voluntary and not required to submit your request. The checkbox is unticked by default. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email or by contacting us using the details under "Who is Responsible?". After you withdraw, we keep your email address on a blocking list so that you receive no further emails. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR in respecting your decision.

Who receives your data?
Your request, and, if you consented, your contact data for emails, is forwarded to the DHL business unit responsible for the sector you selected, for example DHL Express, DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Freight, DHL eCommerce or DHL Supply Chain. The receiving company processes your data as an independent controller. More information is available in the DHL Privacy Notice and the divisional privacy notices linked there.

adrivo GmbH, Graz, Austria, operates InMotion.DHL and the contact form on our behalf and uses carefully selected technical service providers for this. They are bound under Art. 28 GDPR, process your data only on our instructions and do not use it for their own purposes.

The responsible business unit or specialist may be located outside the European Economic Area. Your data is only transferred there when permitted by applicable data protection law. Transfers within DHL Group are safeguarded by the DHL Group Binding Corporate Rules, other transfers by standard contractual clauses.

How long do we keep your data?
adrivo and its service providers keep your data for a maximum of 6 months after your request, to document the proper handover to the business unit and to handle any queries about your request, and delete it afterwards. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR in being able to demonstrate the proper processing of your request. The business unit keeps your request for a maximum of 30 days, unless statutory or contractual retention periods apply or your request leads to a business relationship. Data processed on the basis of your consent is kept until you withdraw your consent.

Is providing the data required?
Providing your data is voluntary. All fields of the form are required. Without them we cannot forward your request to the right specialist and answer it. Not giving consent to emails has no effect on your request.

Our website uses curator.io, a service from the Curator Group. Curator.io does not use cookies that could be stored on your computer and that analyze usage of the website.

The purpose of processing the IP address is to integrate our social media content into our online presence and to count and measure access to our website. On our behalf, Curator processes this information to evaluate the use of our website and to compile reports on website activity. This processing of data is carried out by inserting a script from curator.io into our website without using cookies Achieved in accordance with data protection regulations.

Use as the legal basis for the use of curator.io We express our legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter f of the GDPR in improving our information and service offerings and our website, reach measurement and access counting. You have the right to object in this regard at any time.

Information from the third party provider: Curator Group, 69 Ruthven Street, Bondi Junction, NSW 2022, Sydney, Australia. Australia has an adequate level of data protection, which is why Australia is a safe third country. We have concluded an order processing agreement (DPA) with the third party provider. When you participate in the DHL Commentator Challenge on DHL InMotion, DHL processes your personal data (name, email address) solely for the purpose of administering your participation in the competition. Participation is voluntary, and the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Your data will be deleted once it is no longer necessary for the purpose outlined below.

You may also voluntarily consent to DHL sharing your personal data (name and email address) with Formula One Digital Media Limited (FODM). If you provide this consent, your data will be used by FODM for one specific purpose to send you direct marketing communications via email about Formula 1 products, services, promotions, and related offerings from FODM and/or its affiliates.

This consent is entirely voluntary and not required for participation in the DHL Commentator Challenge. The checkbox for this consent is unticked by default. Your consent applies only to the purpose described above and will not be used for any other purposes. You may withdraw your consent at any time through the opt-out options provided by FODM. Once your data is transferred, FODM will act as an independent data controller and process your data in accordance with its own privacy policy.

The legal basis for this data sharing is your explicit consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. For more details, please refer to the privacy notices of DHL and FODM.

DHL does not sell your personal data. We only pass on your personal data where required by law, where required to answer your request or for the purpose of a contract, or where you have given your consent.

In the context of the processing described in this Privacy Notice, we transfer your data to the following categories of recipients:

• DHL Group companies: where required to answer your request, to provide our products and services or, with your consent, to send you information about them (see "Growth Delivered – Contact Request and Business Unit Emails").
• Processors: external service providers that process data on our behalf are contractually obliged to maintain strict confidentiality as per Art. 28 GDPR. DHL retains responsibility for safeguarding your information in such circumstances. The service providers follow the instructions of DHL, and this is guaranteed by technical and organizational measures, as well as by means of checks and controls.
• Public authorities: where required by applicable law.

Your data is only transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA) where permitted by applicable data protection law. In such cases we make sure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the DHL Group Binding Corporate Rules or standard contractual clauses.

You have the following rights:

• You can request information as to what personal data is stored
• You can request that we correct, delete or block your personal data provided these actions are permitted by law and in compliance with existing contractual conditions.
• You can request to receive personal data you have provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

Right to object
The right to object applies for all processing of personal data which is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. You can also object at any time to the use of your personal data for direct marketing.

Right to withdraw your consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of your consent before its withdrawal.

DHL takes all of the necessary technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from being lost or misused. For instance, your data is saved in a secure operating environment which is not accessible to the public. In certain cases, your personal data is encrypted by Secure Socket Layer technology (SSL) during transmission. This means that an approved encryption procedure is used for communication between your computer and the DHL servers if your browser supports SSL. Should you wish to contact DHL by e-mail, we would like to point out that the confidentiality of the information sent cannot be guaranteed. The contents of e-mail messages can be read by third parties. We therefore recommend you send us confidential information only by post.
