Race behind the race
Formula 1 heads into the final weekend before the summer break with the Hungarian Grand Prix. Located just outside Budapest, the twisty and technical Hungaroring plays host to Round 14 of the season and wraps up a demanding double-header, following the Belgian Grand Prix just one week prior.
After a two-week breather post-Silverstone, teams returned to back-to-back race weekends in Spa and now Hungary—both of which push drivers, mechanics, and logistics crews to their limits. As always, all equipment is transported across Europe using DHL’s biofuel-powered truck fleet, part of the joint commitment between Formula 1 and DHL to become net zero by 2030.
Known for its narrow layout and limited overtaking zones, the Hungaroring demands precision driving and often rewards strategy and tire management. In the heat of midsummer and with the final race before the break on the line, the Hungarian GP often delivers unpredictable and high-stakes drama.
