Hungarian Grand Prix

Race behind the race

Formula 1 is heading into the final race weekend before the summer break with the Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring. Located just outside of Budapest, the twisty, technical circuit will host the eleventh round of the season, concluding a demanding doubleheader following the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps one week earlier.

After the high-speed challenge of Spa, teams will face a very different test in Hungary. The Hungaroring is known for its narrow layout, short straights, and constant sequence of corners. These features make overtaking difficult and place a premium on qualifying, tire management, and race strategy.

From a logistics perspective, the Belgian-Hungarian doubleheader is the final push before the shutdown. DHL’s biofuel-powered truck fleet transports cars, equipment, and infrastructure across Europe, supporting Formula 1's and DHL's shared goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2030. With only a few days between race weekends, precise coordination is essential to ensure that everything is ready in Budapest on time.

Once the checkered flag falls at the Hungaroring, teams and drivers will head into the summer break before the season resumes at Zandvoort in late August.
