Race behind the race
Nestled in the heart of stunning alpine scenery, the Red Bull Ring will provide a terrific setting for the season’s eleventh race. The Austrian GP is part of the first triple header of the season, following the Spanish GP and preceding the British GP.
Dismantling of the paddock will begin well before the checkered flag has fallen at Spielberg, as the British GP follows just one week later. As with all races in Europe, F1 equipment will be transported by trucks running on biofuel, in line with DHL’s and Formula 1’s goal of becoming carbon net zero by 2030.
After the round at Silverstone, there will be a one-week break before the next double header, taking the F1 circus from the British Isles back to mainland Europe – first to Hungary and then to Belgium. The weeks leading up to the summer break will be hugely challenging for all involved.
