FORMULA 1®

the race behind the race

More than 20 years Official Logistics Partner of Formula 1®

DHL powers the enormous logistical effort of transporting up to 1,200 tons of high-value freight to each race.

As the Official Logistics Partner of Formula 1®, DHL will continue to contribute to the seamless delivery of FIA Formula One World Championship™ events worldwide in 2025. DHL will transport up to 1,200 tons of high-value freight per race, including race cars, engines, fuel, tires, spare parts, as well as broadcast and hospitality assets. The partnership, the longest-standing in the sport's history, has evolved to embrace green logistics, significantly contributing to Formula 1's Net Zero goal by 2030.

As part of its ultra-efficient logistics strategy, in 2024 Formula 1 made significant investments in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for the first time, including through DHL’s GoGreen Plus service. Using SAF delivers an estimated 80% reduction in associated carbon emissions per flight. Additionally, DHL operates 51 biofuel-powered trucks for the European leg of the season, including 14 dedicated to delivering the renewable energy transition generators.

Both DHL and Formula 1 share a strong commitment to sustainability goals and a common vision to reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with the sport. Through developing and facilitating multimodal and sustainable logistics solutions, incorporating road, air and sea freight, DHL supports Formula 1’s Net Zero by 2030 commitment.

DHL Fastest Lap Award

Scoring a Formula 1® victory is all about speed; but is the winner always the fastest? Redefining our standards of speed, the DHL Fastest Lap Award is one for fierce competitors. This is how it works: one driver sets the fastest lap at each race - the award will go to the man who sets the most over the season.

DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award

A Formula 1® pit stop is much more than just stopping, changing tires and accelerating away. Perfect planning and absolute precision at breathtaking speed are needed to get it right first time. Pit stops are just one example of how Formula 1 is a team sport.
