It’s been one heck of a journey. In the last five months, the Barclays Premier League trophy has traveled thousands of miles to 19 countries around the world. Fans have come from far and wide to meet United legends and get the rare opportunity to see the famous silverware up close. A global tour that has seen Manchester United take the celebration of its 20th Premier League title to its beloved fans is now coming to an end.

But not before the Barclays Premier League trophy makes a few stops in Europe. Denis Irwin, the famous Reds fullback who launched the Trophy Tour five months ago, will see the silverware safely returned to its Manchester home at old Trafford Stadium.

March 24: Don’t miss Denis Irwin and the Barclays Premier League trophy from 12:30 pm at Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul – your chance to take a photo with a United legend and the coveted silverware!

The gateway to Europe
Yesterday the trophy began the European leg of the tour in Istanbul, the gateway to Europe, where Irwin presented it to fans at the popular Istinye Park shopping center. Supporters also enjoyed the United memorabilia in the traveling museum, delivered by DHL.

Today the silverware finds itself at eclectic Dolmabahçe Palace on the European coastline of the Bosporus Strait. The picturesque setting on the water and the beautiful gardens are the perfect backdrop for the trophy’s entry into Europe.

Next stop
From Istanbul United travels to Copenhagen, where Irwin will present the trophy at famous Gefion Fountain, beginning at 4:00 pm on March 25.

Thereafter Irwin will chaperone his precious guest to Basel and Oslo. Fans in Oslo will have the opportunity to browse Reds memorabilia in the club’s traveling museum, delivered by DHL.
