United Trophy Tour Hits Hollywood
The next leg of the Reds’ worldwide Trophy Tour, delivered by DHL, is in the USA this month. Manchester United Legend Bryan Robson is chaperoning the prized Barclays Premier League trophy coast to coast.
On February 4, United announced that this summer’s pre-season tour will be in the States, where the team will be put to the test in a football extravaganza against the likes of AC Milan, AS Roma, Internazionale, Liverpool, Manchester City, Olympiacos and Real Madrid.* David Moyes’ side is one of eight world-renowned teams to compete in the 2014 International Champions Cup, which will take place in a number of cities across the United States from July 26 to August 4.
In Los Angeles on February 7 the trophy will be at the 'Hollywood' sign for a truly unique photo opportunity starting at 4:00pm local time.
But before the “Old World” boys of Old Trafford arrive in the “New World” of America, the reigning Premier League champions are taking the Barclays Premier League trophy on a coast-to-coast tour through four of America’s greatest cities. Fans in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and New York will have the chance to meet ex-Reds skipper Bryan Robson and have their photo taken with the coveted silverware. Robson is United’s longest serving captain, a past Reds manager and a former English national player.
Bryan Robson chatted with fans in a live @reddit_AMA on February 6. Click here to read the Q&A.
And in all four cities, the club will be displaying historic United memorabilia from Old Trafford in the tour’s travelling museum – a unique feature this year, delivered by DHL.
Manchester United has over eight million followers in the United States and both the United Trophy Tour, Delivered by DHL, and the 2014 Tour present exciting opportunities for these fans to get up close to the club they love.
