Gewandhausorchester Euro Tour 2014: Lucerne, Berlin, London
This year's European summer tour of the Gewandhausorchester, begins a bit late this season when it kicks off a week of performances on Sunday, September 7 with a visit to the Lucerne Music Festival. After two nights at the Lucerne Music Festival, the orchestra heads to Berlin for a one-night-only affair performing Mahler at the Philharmonie there before crossing the channel to play at London's Royal Albert Music Hall.
The tour is supported by DHL as Official Logistics Partner. From the transport of the invaluable instruments to assistance with the logistics of getting the equipment across the channel literally overnight, DHL is working in close cooperation with the Gewandhausorchester to bring their unique sound to fans across Europe.
