On the podium again
It was great to finish on the podium again. We had a bit of a bad patch, but the team never gave up and we fought our way back to the top together. I now lead the overall standings once again. It’s a nice feeling to be heading to my home race in Monaco as leader. Fans can look forward to an exciting second half to the season.

Climbing into the car
It will soon be time to climb into the car! The first training session is on the agenda. No matter how wonderful the setting on the Pacific may be, I have to concentrate on the racing. The last fixture in Miami showed once again how close things are in Formula E. I only picked up two points due to the car’s battery overheating, but I’m optimistic that we can hit back here. I’m in second place in the overall standings in the run-up to the race and can retake the lead with a good result in Long Beach.

Give me FanBoost
Once again this weekend, you can help me achieve a good result. As with all FIA Formula E races, you can again give your favourite driver FanBoost in Long Beach via Twitter, allowing 30 kW more power for five seconds. That can be invaluable and can even decide the winner. Why not log in now and give me a boost at: fanboost.fiaformulae.com ;-)

Well prepared
The circuit here in Long Beach is one of the shortest of the season at just 2.131 kilometres. The track has only seven turns in all but offers some good overtaking opportunities. In the simulator, my team-mate Daniel and I achieved lap times of just under one minute in qualifying mode which is a good benchmark for us on Saturday.

Back in Action
Hello, California! Finally, we’re back in action, and in a really exciting place. Long Beach is just perfect for Formula E. The atmosphere is simply stunning. The circuit that hosted Formula 1 from 1976 to 1983 is located on the Pacific Ocean and is only 30 kilometres from downtown Los Angeles. Could there be a more fitting backdrop for a car race? I’m sure it will be a highlight of the season for all concerned.
This article will be updated throughout the FIA Formula E weekend in Long Beach.
