Round 4 sees a 4th winner! The Buenos Aires ePrix certainly lived up to the hype. Fans were treated to a day full of race action up and down the field. Multiple incidents and lead changes were the order of the day as the front half the field fought hard for the win. “Things don’t get much crazier than that,” writes motorsport.com.

Steering clear of trouble
It was certainly a chaotic – even bizarre – day on the track. As we watched the leaders fall by the wayside, the spoils eventually went to the drivers who managed to steer clear of trouble.

Polesitter and leading contender for the Driver’s Championship, e.dams Renault’s Sebastien Buemi – who won Round 3 in Punta del Este in December – was forced to retire with suspension failure at the fast Turn 8 and 9 chicane. Championship leader Lucas di Grassi of Team Audi Sport ABT followed suit shortly thereafter on the very same turn. Two sad endings to some fantastic driving. Buemi had held the lead off the grid and through the first half of the race, and di Grassi had moved from fifth to third after some impressive overtaking. Then, when it looked like Venturi’s Nick Heidfeld was going to clinch his first victory of the inaugural Formula E Championship season, a drive-through penalty in the closing stages for speeding in the pit lane killed his chances and put ea Costa out in front.

De Costa managed the race and all the action skillfully, kept his nose clean and came out smelling like a rose! He slowly but surely moved up the field from 8th on the grid to grab the full 25 points.

Prost, too, managed to steer clear of the battle between Daniel Abt and Jamie Alguersuari in the race’s final moments to take second place behind de Costa. And Piquet picked up his second consecutive podium.

Di Grassi still in the lead
Despite retiring Lucas di Grassi remains 10 points ahead of Virgin Racing’s Sam Bird and 15 ahead of Sebastien Buemi. Find the latest Driver’s Table here.
