Qatar Grand Prix 2023

Did you know?
Race between the race
After a one-week break, the Formula 1 world tour resumes in Qatar. The series was first contested at the Lusail International Circuit in 2021, and this will be only the second time the teams and drivers have competed there. From this season onwards, the desert race will be a permanent fixture on the calendar.
While the Qatar GP is a stand-alone race, it is followed by an extremely busy program. First up is a challenging triple-header in Austin, Mexico and Brazil. The season then concludes with a double-header in Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi.
During the European leg of the campaign, the equipment of the teams was transported between circuits by the DHL Motorsports Team using trucks running on biofuel. For the overseas races, a multi-modal approach is employed: the freight – which amounts to as much as 1,400 tonnes per race – is delivered by road, land and air.
