Emilia Romagna Grand Prix 2023

Did you know?

Race between the race

After the first of three races during the current season in the USA, Formula 1 embarks on the European leg. The Emilia Romagna GP at the history-steeped Imola circuit also marks the start of the first triple-header, as immediately afterwards, the F1 circus moves on to Monaco and Spain.

In contrast to the first few races of the season, the freight will not be transported within Europe by plane but by truck. The distance by road between Imola and Monaco is around 500 kilometers, and the race in the Principality is always a huge challenge due to the limited space available. Consequently, the trucks are parked in both Italy and France over the race weekend.

The second triple-header of the season then takes place in autumn and involves greater distances. Starting in Austin, Texas, the teams proceed to Mexico City and then on to the Brazilian GP in Sao Paulo.
