Race behind the race
The first of the 24 races on the record-breaking 2024 Formula 1® calendar will take to the track in the sandy plains of Sakhir. As the Official Logistics Partner, DHL has delivered up to 1,400 tonnes of freight, including technical F1 equipment and the brand-new cars, by air from Europe to the Bahrain International Circuit.
With the return of China to the calendar, there's a new venue compared to last season. The schedule includes three triple-headers and five double-headers, presenting numerous logistical challenges. The season finale will take place in Abu Dhabi in December, as has become tradition.
For the second race of the season, the F1 circus will stay on the Arabian Peninsula, setting up in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The third race marks the first major long-haul trip of the season, as the teams head to Australia.
