Bahrain Grand Prix

The 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix is taking an unprecedented turn as Formula 1 is heading to Malaysia instead of Sakhir. Originally scheduled for April, the race could not take place in Bahrain due to the situation in the Middle East. It has now been rescheduled for October 2–4 at the Sepang International Circuit and will officially be called the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia.

The event is the 16th round of the championship, sitting between the Azerbaijan and Singapore Grands Prix and creating a challenging Baku–Sepang–Singapore tripleheader. For DHL, this means transporting up to 1,200 tons of cars, equipment, broadcast technology, and team infrastructure across vast distances over consecutive weeks using a carefully coordinated mix of air, sea, and road freight.

Sepang also presents a completely different challenge from Bahrain’s desert conditions. The 5.543-kilometer circuit is returning to Formula 1 for the first time since 2017. It features 56 laps, long straights, fast corners, heavy braking zones, and notoriously unpredictable tropical weather. Heat, humidity, and sudden rain can all play a major role, making the return to Malaysia one of the most unusual and demanding events of the 2026 season.
