Istanbul Fashion Week with Özlem Süer
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul may be the newest member in the DHL-supported Fashion Week family, but with its emphasis on promoting homegrown talents and showcasing textiles with Turkish flair, it's quickly made its way into our hearts.
With over 40 designers on the five-day schedule in March, when the Autumn/Winter 2014 collections at Antrepo 3 in Tophane were shown, the continued growth of the event proves Turkey is a powerhouse of both design talent in the international fashion arena and in the textile manufacturing industry.
As part of DHL's role as Official Logistics Partner to the event, and to show our commitment to supporting both young and established designers worldwide, DHL partnered with local designer Özlem Süer in showing her collection. With 25 years in the industry, Süer is an old hand that well knows the ins and outs of the business and served as a great example for the benefit that can come from an international promotion like DHL's newly-launched Exported program. The cross-border appeal of the womenswear she creates has made her an international design star and DHL was proud to celebrate success with Süer.
