As the world’s top Rugby nations get ready to scrum in just 500 days’ time, DHL joins Land Rover and to take the coveted Webb Ellis Cup on a world tour for England Rugby 2015.

What better way to celebrate a global event like Rugby World Cup 2015 than to go out on a world tour? That’s precisely what England Rugby 2015, the Organizing Committee for RWC 2015, is doing – and they’ve tapped Official Logistics Partner DHL, alongside co-sponsor Land Rover, to make it happen.

The International Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour will see the Webb Ellis Cup travel to 15 countries between May 2014 and June 2015. DHL will get the trophy safely to each country and Land Rover will take it to places it has never been before.

“We are very excited to announce the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour plans,” says Debbie Jevans, England Rugby 2015 CEO. “This gives us a unique opportunity to celebrate rugby around the world in the lead up to 2015, engaging and exciting rugby fans and potential new audiences ahead of the tournament. Visiting 15 countries, including nations qualified for RWC 2015 and emerging rugby markets, gives us an opportunity to showcase the global game and its shared values.”

The Tour will touch down in locations across the globe, including Japan, Australia, Fiji, Madagascar, Kenya, South Africa, Argentina, Uruguay, Hong Kong, China, United States, United Arab Emirates, Italy, Germany, Romania, and France. At each stop the iconic Webb Ellis Cup will visit rugby clubs and schools, giving young people, rugby fans and potential new fans an opportunity to be a part of the great game of Rugby. It’s meant to engage, excite, and inspire people around the world to play the game and celebrate rugby’s unique values and global culture.
