United Trophy Tour moves to Asia

At the National Momument in Jakarta.

Following visits to Mexico and three South American countries, the two-week Asian leg of United’s Trophy Tour, delivered by DHL, is under way.

United fans in Indonesian and Taipei have already had a chance to see the Barclays Premier League trophy – in Jakarta at the National Monument and at the opening of a new Megastore and in Taipei at the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.

United legends Ronny Johnsen and Quinton Fortune were on hand to present the coveted silverware, take pictures with fans and sign autographs. The two players got a clear reminder of how big the fan base is in Asia, as United enthusiasts came out in droves in both locations. Hundreds turned out to see their heroes and, of course, the Barclays Premier League trophy.

Supporters in Seoul, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong will also have the chance to get involved and meet at least one Reds legend during the final month of 2013.

The Asia leg of the global tour, which will travel 67,000 miles to 24 countries and more than 30 cities in total, continues later on Friday in South Korea, followed by China and Hong Kong.
