UNITED. DELIVERED.: Bringing it to Bangkok
Pantila Sinsukporn fell in love with Manchester United after watching the Boys from Old Trafford produce that historic win in the 1999 FA Cup semifinal against Arsenal. Indeed, how can anyone forget Ryan Giggs’ sensational solo goal in extra time after going down to 10 men and surviving a penalty shot.
“I really admire and love Manchester United since then,” says Pantila.
She’s not alone. That extraordinary likely inspired many new United fans around the world.
“Sir Alex Ferguson is my idol.”

Now, nearly 20 years later, she’s a member of another exclusive new group of United fans: hosts of a UNITED. DELIVERED. match.
Pantila entered the contest to host a match in her hometown of Bangkok because she wanted to bring the spirit of Manchester United to Thailand and share her passion for the club with friends at her university football club.
The representative
To say she was grateful for being selected to host a match would be an understatement.
“I am HONORED to be chosen as a host to the Greatest Memorable campaign,” she wrote.
On match day, the pride and appreciation of being part of something big was written all over her face.
“I’m really proud to be a representative,” she said. “I’m really happy to be part of this global event – to share this moment with so many fans around the world.”
The feeling
Though Pantila hosted the match on a small indoor pitch, there was great excitement in the air. You got the distinct feeling that this was something special.
“We feel like the players in Old Trafford,” she said. “I’m really happy to be playing in this shirt with the Manchester United logo.”
“We feel like players at Old Trafford.”

That spirit it seems was transformed into action on the pitch: Team Red shut out Team Yellow 3-0. Pantila says there’s not doubt about it – and her passion stretches back to the Beckham era and that fateful FA Cup semifinal.
“Team Red won absolutely,” she said with an unmistakable twinkle in her eye. “Because we were mostly inspired by Beckham.”
The dream
Like many of her fellow UNITED. DELIVERED. match hosts, Pantila dreams of visiting the Theatre of Dreams.
“It would be a dream come true,” she says.
But that’s not all.
“Sir Alex Ferguson is my idol,” she adds. “I’ve always wanted to shake his hand once in my lifetime. Unfortunately, his retirement came to soon.”
The sad look lasts only a second. Her face brightens. “Now a picture with his stature at Old Trafford is on my bucket list.”
As a host of a UNITED. DELIVERED. match, she now has that chance.
