Manchester United
UNITED. DELIVERED.: A SUPERB SEPTEMBER
There’s no doubt that Manchester United fans around the world are all connected in one way or the other. Our collective love of the club, the players, the history, and the style of play binds us together. The UNITED. DELIVERED. Global Football Tour is now uniting Reds across the globe like never before – inviting them to play the game they love with the same ball! Match hosts have the chance to win a trip of a lifetime to Manchester United’s home stadium, Old Trafford.
Since late August, DHL has been delivering a ball around the world so that United fans from all corners of the globe can play together. After the first stop in Cape Town, South Africa, the ball had a busy – and by all accounts superb – September.
I’m very grateful to have this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Of fan clubs and fields
Following the UNITED. DELIVERED. football is both a colorful and a cultural experience. From a rural dirt pitch under beautiful blue skies in Kenya to an urban five-a-side field protected from the elements in Singapore – you see how international and diverse the United community truly is.
In Kenya, match host, Victor Auma, wanted to deliver something special to his three-year old team – a group of students who couldn’t make their school squad “but still want to enjoy the game and keep fit.” The match created “unforgettable memories with friends with whom we’ve come so far,” he said.
Though playing on the other side of the globe and in a decidedly different setting, Singapore match host, Nevin Ho, entered the competition to host a match for basically the same reason: “Football is about love, passion and unity – that’s why I hope to be able to strengthen the ties between my friends and family members alike.”
Manchester native Matthew Lowe may be in Vietnam and thousands of miles from home, but he says the Vietnamese “adore the club and football.” He’s captivated by their love of football and wanted to “expose” them to his beloved Reds. A United member and former season ticket holder, he pledged to give his trip to Old Trafford “to one of the Vietnamese players on my team, as to them it would really be a dream come true.”
The “Theatre of Dreams”
The dream of taking in a United match at Old Trafford is shared by millions of Reds fans around the world – the over two thousand entries we’ve received so far are testament to that.
“It has been a long-awaited dream for me to visit Old Trafford,” said Aviral Pushkarna, our UNITED. DELIVERED. match host in India. “Even thinking about stepping on the land where the legacy of so many of heroes’ lives gives me goosebumps. It will truly be one of the best days of my life.”
Nevin Ho from Singapore shares that sentiment: “It’s surreal to even think about being at Old Trafford one day. It’s not just the game that excites me, but the people of Manchester as well as the atmosphere at Old Trafford during match days.”
Simply put, visiting [Old Trafford] would be a dream come true.
Victor Auma, UNITED.DELIVERED. match host, Kenya
Victor Auma from Kenya can also only dream about a trip to Manchester. “Sometimes the only way I can relate to Manchester United at a close level is though my imagination and dreams,” he says. “Seeing myself in Old Trafford amidst all the great memories and great players. Simply put, visiting the stadium would be a dream come true.”
A trip of a lifetime
All our September match hosts now have a chance to make those dreams come true with a trip of a lifetime to Old Trafford. Now that they’ve played their matches, they’ll just have to wait and see if they win.
