The greatest are coming.

Presented by Gewandhausorchester. Delivered by DHL.

The world's largest touring orchestra.

Based in Leipzig and with over 280 years of history, it has performed in nearly every famous concert hall around the world – throughout Europe, in Japan, Australia as well as North and South America.

Naturally, the world’s largest touring orchestra has rubbed shoulders with the giants of music history. Over the years, Leipzig has played host to some of the greatest composers, with the Gewandhausorchester premiering works such as Beethoven’s Fifth Piano Concerto, Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor, and Clara Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor. So it’s no surprise that the orchestra brings the music of the great composers wherever it goes.

Watch the Greatest coming

But when this 185-member orchestra and Gewandhauskapellmeister Andris Nelsons go on tour, it makes for a huge logistics challenge. Countless highly delicate, valuable and in some cases one-of-a-kind instruments must reach their destination quickly, reliably and safely. It’s been our job since 2009 and we’re proud of it:

As the world’s largest logistics provider, DHL makes sure the world’s largest touring orchestra brings the greatest music to people around the globe.

Students & Graduates

“I cannot imagine the same routine over and over until retirement. I’m a more spontaneous guy, I like to improvise and need a job that allows me to be creative and continue developing. DHL’s trainee program is perfect for me. I can apply my talents and be as creative as I want. And my performance? Virtuoso of course!“

Operations

“Music is a universal language that connects us all – and that’s how I see my work at DHL. My mission and motivation is to connect people with one another. So when a customer is happy about a parcel or nice postcard I’ve delivered and thanks me for it, it’s like music to my ears. Da-da-da-daaa!”

IT Jobs

“The logistics IT at DHL is extremely precise. Every detail has to be perfectly timed and tuned to keep the harmony intact. One wrong note and the whole concert falls out of sync . I’m proud to contribute to the outstanding performance we deliver for our customers. Our applause is our customers’ satisfaction – and when they ask for an encore, we know we’ve done everything right!”

Johann Sebastian B., Senior IT Consultant Manager

Office Jobs

“Whether talking with customers or chatting with colleagues, it’s the tone that makes the music. That’s why I love the harmonious work environment at DHL. And if there’s ever any dissonance, we work it out together as a team. It works because we’re a professional ensemble where no one plays second fiddle.”
