Gewandhausorchester Live from Shanghai

When the Gewandhausorchester begins their Asian Tour in Shanghai March 14, DHL will be along for the ride, making sure the logistics are in order so the players can hit all the right notes. And thanks to a livestream to be broadcast here on In Motion, audiences around the world will be able to tune in to hear the moving performances directly from Shanghai.

On March 14, the performance of Gustav Mahler's 7th Symphony in E-minor at the Oriental Arts Centre will be directed by Riccardo Chailly and brought to you live here on In Motion or on the DHL website, where information will also be available in German.

March 15 will also see the players at their finest, this time in a concert featuring pianist Nelson Freier that combines works from Mendelssohn's Ruy Blas Overture and Beethoven's 5th Piano Concerto, followed the 5th Symphony by Shostakovich that will also be streamed here live. The livestream is a sneak preview of what awaits audiences in Japan in the week to follow and will be available online even after the concert ends. For more information on the shows and locations, and updates from the players on the road, follow us on In Motion or check out the Gewandhaus Tour Blog online.
