FORMULA 1 LENOVO AUSTRIAN GRAND PRIX 2026

Racing Bulls on top form in Austria with second-fastest pit stop of the season

Arvid Lindblad is having a really good run at the moment; the rookie driver finished in the points for the fourth consecutive time in the Racing Bulls’ home round in Austria. He was in the Top Ten at the start and then went on to overtake his more experienced teammate, Liam Lawson.

Lindblad made his first pit stop on lap 18 while Lawson came into the pit lane on the next lap. Lindblad remained ahead of his teammate throughout the second stint, but the Racing Bulls opted for an undercut to bring Lawson back out in front of him after a second, final pit stop.

Lawson pitted on lap 45, Lindblad on the next lap when his crew made an excellent job of changing all four tires in just 2.03 seconds. However, despite his team executing the second-fastest DHL Fastest Pit Stop of the 2026 season, he still finished tenth right behind his teammate.

This result now puts Lindblad in 13th place with 14 points in the Drivers’ World Championship. He expressed his satisfaction with the Austrian Grand Prix just after the event when he told us: “It was a positive race and it’s nice to get another double-points result for the team. The team has done an amazing job over the last few races to keep bringing upgrades and adding performance to the car, so I hope we can continue in our recent great form, as that would be very cool.”
