ENGLAND’S MIKE BROWN TALKS RUGBY WORLD CUP 2015

DHL Ambassador Mike Brown sits down with DHL

Mike Brown, England and Harlequins Full Back and now DHL Ambassador for Rugby World Cup 2015, sits in stadium bleaches facing the camera grinning.

The excitement of the Rugby World Cup 2015 is certainly gaining pace, and with England taking on Australia in the QBE Internationals on Saturday, we thought it would be a good time to sit down with DHL Ambassador and England Rugby star, Mike Brown, to get his views on the Rugby World Cup 2015.

We asked Mike what it would mean to him and the team to make the final at Twickenham, how he’s been preparing for the world cup, the joy of playing on home soil and why he thinks the supporters are the 16th man in the team.

“I want to do anything I can to bring some of the excitement to the wider community.”(DHL Ambassador Mike Brown, England and Harlequins Fullback)

“I already know DHL well from their involvement with Harlequins, and I’m very happy to be helping them now in their role as a Rugby World Cup partner,” says Brown. “Having one of the biggest sporting events in the world on our home soil is a rare privilege and I want to do anything I can to bring some of the excitement to the wider community.”

Harlequins are home
Mike’s home club is the Harlequins – a team that is proud to have five of their players in the England line up for the QBE Internationals 2014 (Mike Brown, Danny Care, Joe Marler, Chris Robshaw and Marland Yarde) with Robshaw captaining the team. Conor O’ Shea (Harlequins’ Director of Rugby) says, “I am delighted for the five guys, especially as this is the start of an incredibly exciting year for English Rugby. I hope that those five are joined by some others within our squad over the next 12 months to form part of a hugely successful England team.”

Thanks, Mike!
We’d like to say a big thank you to Mike for joining us as a DHL Ambassador. He’ll be a huge asset to our team as we help deliver Rugby World Cup 2015 to the world!
