At Rugby World Cup 2015, DHL Canada will be taking the field with Canada’s national rugby team – literally. Each Canuck’s jersey number will be a photo mosaic made up of the pictures of all Canadians employed by DHL.

When Canada lines up today against Ireland at stunning Millennium Stadium in Cardiff for their first group stage match of Rugby World Cup 2015, they’ll have a unique advantage. The backing of each and every DHL employee in Canada.

DHL Canada literally has the Rugby Canada’s back

The numbers featured on the backs of each player will be made up of photos of each of the 1,286 Canadians employed by DHL. You can literally say that DHL Canada has the Rugby Canada’s back – a claim none of the other 19 teams competing in rugby’s premier international tournament can make.

While we may not all be athletes, we believe DHL’s global partnership with England 2015 as well as DHL Canada’s national partnership with Rugby Canada, are perfect because DHL and Rugby share many core values: teamwork, passion, a will to win, commitment to excellence, speed and accuracy.

“This is a really unique idea and something that will highlight and reward the hard work and dedication of the Canadian DHL employees,” said Rugby Canada national team member Jason Marshall. “DHL and its family have been an integral supporter of our program for many years and we look forward to having them with us on the field during the World Cup.”
