Planet’s Fastest Motorsport Series Back with DHL-piloted Logistics
Returning after a three-year break, the Red Bull Air Race World Championship is back in 2014. While spectators watch the world’s most talented pilots in high-speed, low-altitude competition, DHL will be piloting the behind-the-scenes logistics of the global eight-round series.
The Red Bull Air Race is making a comeback in 2014 and fans are eagerly awaiting the thrilling show of amazing skills and piloting precision they came to know and love in the first six years of competition. The championship takes off in Abu Dhabi on February 28.

The Red Bull Air Race World Championship features the world’s best race pilots in a pure motorsport competition that combines speed, precision and skill. Using the fastest, most agile and lightweight racing planes, pilots navigate a low-level aerial track made up of 25-meter air-filled pylons known as “air gates.”

Back behind the scenes
DHL returns as the Official Logistics Partner of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship and will be managing the transportation of the lightweight racing planes, spare parts, fuel and other racing equipment as well as the television and broadcasting equipment for the global race series.
DHL will coordinate and carry out the logistics for the overall eight races on three continents throughout the year. Besides the UAE, the series will be landing in Croatia, Malaysia, Poland, Great Britain, the U. S. (two races) and China. DHL taps its intelligent logistics expertise to support the Red Bull Air Race organizers, using appropriate transport modes – including ocean, air and road freight – in order to ensure on-time delivery in the most environmentally friendly way.
