Though it wasn’t the most exciting match, Manchester United kicked off what is sure to be an exciting month of Premier and Champions League football this weekend versus Tottenham Hotspur. Thanks to a 22nd-minute own goal by the Spur’s Kyle Walker, the Reds chalked up a narrow 1-0 victory in their home opener.

Just before the boys took the pitch at Old Trafford, fans around the world picked their five-player lineups for the first round of Red Devils BATTLESTATS – a “fantasy football” style game that challenges users to select five players from United’s starting line-up, choose a captain and then watch the points roll in. The player who earns top points for each fixture receives a signed shirt from United’s first-team squad, and those finishing in the top 10 are entered into the draw for DHL’s Ultimate Fan Weekend at Old Trafford.
