Thanks to all the fans
Congratulations to Formula E on staging such a fantastic event in Mexico. I’ll never forget the moments I spent on the podium. My thanks go to all the fans who supported us. I did my job on the track. I don’t have any influence on what else happens.

Best quali of season
Qualifying went really well: I'll be starting the race from third on the grid! I'm also delighted with Daniel's P4. This is our best qualifying result of the season so far – a super team effort. My Super Pole lap didn't go as well as I would have liked, because I lost some time in the first sector. But the race itself will be a different matter. On account of the huge number of laps, I'm expecting this to be one of the most demanding races of the season. In any case, I'll be giving it my best shot and battling all the way for the win here in Mexico.

Special pit stops
Our focus today was primarily on shakedown – a good way to get to know the track and perform important system checks as well. We had no problems and feel super prepared for Saturday. We also practiced pit stops with the team. Here in Mexico, we don’t drive directly into the pits to swap drivers but park the cars in front, which is new in Formula E. We’ve seen where we can best park the car and have sorted out the shortest, quickest route to the second car. You see, every detail counts in Formula E.

On track
Today we really got down to business at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez! During this morning’s track walk with the team, we familiarized ourselves with the layout. Standing in the middle of the stadium section made a big impression – it’s going to be incredible on Saturday when the grandstands are full of spectators! The circuit is quite short, but it offers some good overtaking opportunities. I think that the most promising section is the entrance to the stadium, so keep an eye out for the action here.

Visiting partners
We had our first media activities on today’s program. I was a guest at a Schaeffler site in the middle of Mexico City. A nice experience – I was introduced to the works management and met many of the employees. As you can imagine, there were a lot of selfies being taken! At the same time, my team-mate Daniel was invited to the headquarters of DHL Express Mexico where he signed autographs. In the evening, we attended a Formula E media event at a fabulous hotel on Paseo de la Reforma.

Give me Fanboost!
A unique feature of Formula E is the way that fans are allowed to get involved. You can give extra power in the race by means of the FanBoost button. Voting is open until the race goes into its sixth minute, which is why the FanBoost can only be used in the second car, i.e. after the pit stop. A post on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtags #FanBoost and #LucasdiGrassi is all that is required and is automatically counted as a vote for me. But you can also vote for me on the website at fanboost.fiaformulae.com. Thanks for your support!

On the right track
I was third in the last race in Argentina and once again secured vital points towards the championship. It was my fourth podium finish in the fourth race - my streak of successes shows that we are on the right track. But if we want to attack the front-runners, then we’ll have to work even harder and not make the slightest mistake. We sat down as a team after Buenos Aires and carefully analyzed all the data. I can promise you that we’re really well prepared for Mexico!

Premiere in Mexico
Hola from Mexico City! The fifth race of the season takes place here this Saturday. The race at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is something quite special for us. We’re guesting for the first time with Formula E in Mexico! I’m really looking forward to the weekend and especially the atmosphere around the track. I’ve heard that as many as 40,000 fans are expected. We saw at last year’s Formula 1 race in Mexico just how euphoric the Mexican fans can be. I’m certain that we too will also produce a great spectacle for the spectators.
