FORMULA 1 AWS HUNGARIAN GRAND PRIX 2026

Racing Bulls set a new best time of the season in Hungary

In Hungary, Racing Bulls confirmed that they are currently the best of the Formula 1 midfield pack. Arvid Lindblad started in ninth place, just behind the driver pairings of the Top Four teams, but was unable to move up in the chaos of the start.

On medium tires, he defended his position throughout the first stint. On lap 20, the team called him into the pits. As they have done three times already this year, the crew demonstrated that they are among the best when it comes to rapid servicing. Lindblad's new tires (hard) were fitted in just 1.99 seconds – a new season record!

Lindblad's pit stop was crucial, as he was one of only two contestants to attempt a one-stop strategy at the Hungaroring. However, it was a gamble that didn't pay off: although he made good progress at the midway stage of the race, things became increasingly difficult toward the end. In the closing stages, Lindlad found himself battling it out with Nico Hülkenberg and teammate Liam Lawson but was at a clear disadvantage on his tires, which were nearly 50 laps old.

The rookie was at least able to continue his streak of scoring points with a P10 finish. "It's a good day for the team. They have given us a good car and the pit stops again were really good." With both drivers in points, Racing Bulls have consolidated their fifth place in the Constructors' Championship.
