This season, DHL is bringing to life the innerworkings of MotoGP™ by showcasing a crucial skill: effective communication, a critical ingredient between rider and team which can be the fine margin between winning and losing.
Unlike other motorsports, crew chiefs are unable to talk to riders out on track via radio. Riders also struggle to verbally convey issues with their bike, a challenge made even more complex if a language barrier is present.
MotoGP™ utilizes its own methods to help solve these issues. Riders use sign language when speaking about their bike and crew chiefs transmit messages to the riders through pit boards. However, these techniques require immense expertise. Riders reach speeds of over 300 km/h, making the boards challenging to read and the sign language is a unique code that only riders use to communicate with their team!
DHL is challenging you to either decipher pit board messages or crack a unique sign language code. For every correct answer, you will be in with the chance to win the grand prize: VIP Hospitality at a 2023 MotoGP™ race weekend!
